Twitter opens up Verification to micro-celebrities

Until now, in order to be Twitter Verified (with the blue badge tick icon next to the user’s name) you had to be a public figure of some sort.  But, recognising that there are plenty of creators and influencers on Twitter, or micro celebrities as I like to call them – famous to their followers – the company is now making it possible for these people to apply for verification.

You have to explain why you should be verified, and provide a host of supporting information.  You’ll find everything you need here to make your application.
